Three straight Top-10 performances propelled Brad Keselowski into the next round of the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship. But the Team Penske veteran isn’t spending time looking backwards. With the field of Chase-eligible drivers cut down to eight, Keselowski is optimistic about the next trio of tracks ahead. “It doesn’t matter what you’ve done to date. It matters what you do from here. I feel the opportunity. I feel like we’re going to a great track for us. I feel like we’re really in the driver’s seat.”

Below is a chart showing Brad Keselowski’s career Sprint Cup Series finishes and average finish at the three Eliminator Round tracks: Martinsville, Texas, and Phoenix.

Momentum 2 Martinsville

Fresh off his 4th place finish at Talladega, Brad Keselowski is carrying the momentum of his best Chase finish thus far and his 22nd Top-10 finish this season. Heading into Martinsville Speedway he is one Top-10 finish shy of tying his career high for a single season – a mark he set during his NASCAR Championship campaign in 2012. In eleven career starts at the .526-mile short track nicknamed “The Paperclip” Keselowski has scored two Top-5’s, six Top-10’s, while accumulating a total of 28 laps led. Recording his best finish of 2nd place at the track earlier in March of this season, Keselowski and the 2Crew remain confident. “I think this is gonna be our best bracket yet. I look at the short tracks like Martinsville, and we’ve run well on the short tracks this year, finished second at Martinsville earlier this year, so I’m thrilled to be going back there. I feel like it’s the start of the season. It’s very rejuvenating.”

Top-10’s In Texas

After failing to record a Top-10 finish in his first eight straight Sprint Cup series starts at Texas, November of 2012 is where Brad Keselowski turned it around. Since the Fall race of his NASCAR Championship season, the No. 2 driver has posted five Top-10’s in his last six starts at the 1.5-mile track of Texas Motor Speedway while recording 239 laps led during that span. Keselowski has earned nearly half of his career Sprint Cup Series wins at Intermediate Tracks. Pairing that with Team Penske’s history of success at such distance events – we think he stays consistent. Not to mention, he's back behind the wheel of the No. 2 Würth Ford Fusion for the final time this season...

Finale In Phoenix

Similar to his career finishes at Texas, Brad Keselowski struggled at Phoenix early but certainly found his groove over the past four seasons. In his first five career Sprint Cup Series starts he failed to record a finish better than 15th while leading just four laps at the 1-mile short track. However, since March of 2012, he has scored six finishes of 6th or better in seven starts while logging 111 laps led! Of the three tracks in the Eliminator Round, statistically, Keselowski is strongest at Phoenix International Raceway. Top-5 potential is there.
